At Reader Shop we are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice. We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.

We do not disclose buyers information to third parties.

We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent.

We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

* your name
* address
* phone number
* email address

Credit/debit card details are collected by Protx using a strongly encrypted connection directly to the bank. We are also CPI Level 3 validated by Trustwave to ensure maximum data protection for our customers.

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law and the Which? Web Trader Code.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse though the categories, click on any item you wish to buy and put them in your "shopping basket". After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to satisfy your order.

Credit Card Security

We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Shipping

All items will be shipped to you by the supplier as soon as possible - normally within 14 days. For some hand made items this period may be longer and this is indicated under the description of the item. Reader Shop is in constant contact with its suppliers and if any unexpected delay is predicted, you will be informed.

If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase please contact us straight away and we will ensure complete satisfaction.

Cancellation Rights

In line with The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000, you are fully entitled to cancel your order after you have made a purchase. This must be done within seven days of receiving the goods and full re-payment (less postage) will be made to you within 30 days.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
